I’m in North Carolina! Wow! It was a spur of the moment decision…
My husband was in Washington, D.C. last week and when he came home on Friday our oldest daughter drove back with him! She had a four day weekend so she drove to DC from North Carolina and then on home. We all had a great weekend together. My daughter and I went out for coffee, to the bookstore, and the three of us went out to dinner. On Sunday we watched the playoffs and cried together when Green Bay lost. We had all hoped Green Bay would go all the way. Because the game was on late I had to record Northanger Abbey. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, but hope to in the next few days.
My daughter was scheduled to leave early Monday morning for her 8+ hour drive and I tearfully said goodbye. She drove off. My husband took one look at me and said, “you don’t have anything here you have to do, get ready and go with her.” So here I am! I got ready in 15 minutes, I’ve got a flight back on Sunday and as my daughter would say, “I’m chillin’” here in North Carolina!

What a great husband!
There’s always next year for Green Bay!
Yes, Green Bay has been my favorite team since Vince Lombardi days. I am glad the Giants won the Super Bowl!
