Book 1 in the Arcane Society is Second Sight by Amanda Quick. (This is the pseudonym Jayne Ann Krentz uses when she writes historicals.) #2 and #3 are contemporaries (White Lies and Sizzle and Burn by Krentz). The fourth--The Third Circle--is another historical by Quick. All of these are stand alone novels so you could read them out of order if you want!
