I am a baby boomer, live in the United States (Midwest right now), but grew up on the west coast. I am married (my husband works for the federal government) and have three grown children.
My first child (a daughter) is an officer in the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. My second child (also a daughter) graduated from college in California last spring. My third child (a son) is a sophomore in college in Florida. My family is the most important aspect of my life.
Besides reading and family I love using my computer. Photography, traveling, cooking, baking, family history research are also interests.

You should make some posts about family history research. I’d like to hear about what you’ve done.
I may start a family history blog so I probably won’t do any blogging here about family history.
What a fun site! Looks like we have a few things in common. I also grew up on the West Coast and now live in the Midwest. We also seem to blog about similar things. I do book reviews and chime in about my travels, writing, and other adventures at http://damiandaily.wordpress.com/. Thanks for the reading recommendations. There are several I will be sure to check out.
Thanks for your visit. I visited your site and enjoyed reading your posts. I envy you your travel to China. It sounds like a fascinating country. You’ll have to let me know if you enjoy any of the recommendations you find here! Good luck with your writing.
Jan, I saw your comment at Keishon’s TBR Tally post about your power still being out. You don’t happen to live in the Cols. area do you? In my neighborhood there remains a small pocket of folks also on Day 9 w/o power. Unbelievable.
We live in the Dayton area. Our power is back on now as it is for almost everyone in this area. I love turning on the lights and charging my electronic devices!
Glad to hear you’re powered back up. Sure makes us realize how much we depend on it!
